Key Responsibilities:

The Systems Administrator/Desktop Support Analyst will be responsible for monitoring the company’s IT infrastructure. He/she will also be responsible for providing level 1 & 2 helpdesk support to all facilities. You will frequently have working contacts with senior IT team members, vendors, consultants, third party providers, technical support, senior management, managers and users.

• Manage IT helpdesk.

• Monitor hardware & software. Monitor network.

• Develop and maintain Intranet content.

• Develop and maintain up to date systems documentation.

• Develop and maintain up to date user manuals.

• Train key users.

• Maintain the confidentiality of all information on the networks, servers, intranets, and e-mail systems by adhering to the company’s confidentiality agreement and privacy policy.

• Participate in technology research and creation of development project ideas.

• Any other departmental related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the IT Manager.

Qualifications:

• At least two years of related experience.

• Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent

• Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop & server operating systems (Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server), network administration (TCP/IP, switches, routers), and PC hardware.

• Must have excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills, intermediate knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, MS-SQL) and Crystal Reports.

• Strong prioritization skills are also required to ensure problems are addressed in a timely manner while meeting the unpredictable demands of helpdesk operations.

• Must possess strong oral communication skills in order to efficiently communicate with users as well as vendors. Written skills are required for documentation and reports.
