We are looking for a candidate with strong firewall skills and experience as well as CISCO LAN Switch and IOS skills.
Description of Position: Work as part of a team that primarily supports firewalls.
Some LAN switch/router support will also be required. Type of work includes: - Provide day to day steady state hardware and software support to multiple clients production network and network devices, including Switches, Routers, Firewalls. -
Cisco router/switch product line support. -
Cisco PIX/ASA product line support. -
Netscreen Firewalls - maintain security of the network to be compliant with internal IBM security specifications -
Provide 24x7 on-call support to production systems on rotation basis - some after hour evening and weekend support is required to implement changes. -
manual labor involved Skills required: Cisco product technical skills (Cisco certification would be an asset).
1. Strong CISCO Pix/ASA firewall configuration , support skills . Must have high level IPSEC VPN configuration and troubleshooting experience
2. Chekpoint firewall configuration , support skills, including IPSEC VPN config and troubleshooting experience
3. Strong Pearl and Shell scripting skills
4. Netscreen firewalls configuration and support skills will be a bonus - strong working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol - Extensive experience with IT change management processes - Solid analytical skills for problem solving - Experience in policy/process enforcement. -
Good communication and project coordination skills - Ability to multitask and manage high volumes of work. - ability to handle stressful situations - ability to maintain meticulous documentation - must be process oriented and pay attention to detail - logical thinker - self motivated and demonstrate initiative - must possess a customer service oriented attitude - close team interaction / spirit - good PC Software and O/S skills - Visio skills
