This item was purchased for a home improvement project and never used. It is brand new in original packaging. It is in perfect functioning and cosmetic order. The difference between EVO1-9-U/U and EVO1-9-U/UPS is that the UPS comes with a dual output power supply. The splitter itself is identical in both.
The EVO1-9-U/U 1×9 Amplifier/Splitter features 8 unity gain ports in addition to a completely passive Voice Modem port for lifeline voice service. Critical communication signals passing to and from the voice modem are never jeopardized by having to pass through active components (e.g. relays) like those found in typical bypass amplifiers. The unique circuit design maintains SCTE recommended RF performance on the INPUT and Voice Modem ports even when power is lost or there is IC failure. Engineered with gas tube surge protection on the INPUT port the EVO1-9-U/U can withstand surges that would cause standard amplifiers to fail.
