Peel Multicultural Council (PMC) is a non-for-profit organization, aiming to provide newcomers with all FREE settlement assistance and resources. We provide information, orientation and referrals on
Canadian citizenship and PR card application
Canadian tax system and free tax clinics
Children benefits and child care subsidy
Educational system
Labour market and (un)employment
Health care system
Housing and subsidy
Legal assistance
Rights and responsibilities of residents of Canada
And many other areas

Current programs:
LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada)
ELT (Enhanced Language Training with Bridge to Employment)
JSW (Job Search Workshop)
Group Mentorship for Immigrants (both youth and adults)
Senior programs
Crisis Counseling

Who Is Eligible for Settlement Services?
• Permanent resident card
• Record of Landing (IMM 1000) or your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688)
• Notice of decision accepting refugee claim by Immigration Refugee Board or a higher court of law
• Citizenship card, passport, study permit/post graduate work permit (for naturalized citizens and international students to receive limited settlement services) provided Newcomer Settlement Program
