Position Summary:

2128234 ONTARIO LTD o/a Lezzet Shawarma is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee kitchen operations at our Mississauga location. As a fast-paced and growing food service establishment, we require a proactive professional who can supervise day-to-day activities, ensure adherence to food safety and quality protocols, and manage staff performance and inventory. The ideal candidate will bring both leadership and practical experience in the food service industry, particularly in fast casual or quick-service restaurant settings.

The Kitchen Manager will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, optimizing kitchen workflow, and delivering consistent food quality. Working closely with ownership, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the kitchen team meets established standards of service, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. This role requires hands-on supervision, the ability to work under pressure during peak hours, and a solutions-oriented mindset to address operational challenges. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily activities of kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient and timely meal preparation and delivery
• Develop and maintain staff work schedules, ensuring proper shift coverage and task distribution
• Monitor inventory levels, track food usage and waste, and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed
• Maintain detailed records relating to food stock, equipment maintenance, staff performance, and operational issues
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards at all times
• Provide on-the-job training to new hires and existing team members on operational procedures and sanitation practices
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to coordinate orders and manage deliveries
• Evaluate food quality, service standards, and customer satisfaction, making improvements as necessary
• Assist in staff recruitment, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution when required
• Support menu planning and help optimize food and labor costs
• Address customer concerns and operational issues to maintain a high level of service

Employment Requirements:

• Secondary school diploma is required
• Post-secondary education in hospitality or food service management is an asset
• Prior supervisory experience in a kitchen or food service environment
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-based setting
• Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations (certification preferred)
