A very unique piece, built in the early days of US Kramer manufacturing, with a stellar design. The aluminum neck construction in tandem with the exotic hardwood body affords serious resonance, with a very unique tonal character. A previous owner looks to have swapped out the stock pickups. The replacement pickups suit the natural resonance and allow you to play with feedback and natural harmonics in a way that is very interesting.
This vintage guitar is no case queen, it has been Used but not abused, with some honest playing wear throughout. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, and scuffs present. The bridge saddles appear to have been replaced at some time as well. Because the neck is made of aluminum and has no adjustable truss rod, it has a propensity toward some slight fret buzz based on temperature fluctuation, but this is minimal.
Body: Solid exotic hardwood body with top-loading six-saddle bridge.
Weight: Heavy, or otherwise I would never sell this guitar. I have torn trap and rotator cuff in past so this does not work for me.
Neck: Aluminum/rosewood neck with C-profile. Ebony fingerboard is in good shape, and while frets show wear consistent with age, they still have life in them. U-shaped aluminum headstock with Schaller tuners in perfect working order. Neck is straight and plays nicely up & down the length of the fingerboard.
Electronics: 2 x humbuckers with 3-way pickup selector switch and black speed knobs, 2x tone, 2x volume.
Case: Non-Original hard shell case included.
**Price is firm. Not really interested in trades unless you have clean, lawsuit era MIJ stuff from Tokai, Greco, Burny, Edwards, Orville, Ibanez or Yamaha etc. I also dig vintage US-made guitars and amps and all manner of mid to higher-end wristwatches (vintage and otherwise).
