We’re looking for you, our new Technical Service Advisor.

Who are you?:

You’re experienced on the technical side of the auto or transportation industry. Maybe you’re a Technician, ready to use your knowledge more than your muscles. Maybe you’re a service desk pro who loves talking shop. Either way, you know your way around vehicle repairs, parts and maintenance.

What you’ll be doing:

When a truck driver in our network needs a repair, they’ll get an estimate from a vendor, and that estimate will show up on your computer.

You’ll look into each estimate, and figure out: if that estimate is accurate? Is that repair needed right now? Is that the best price for that part? Is this the best vendor to use?

If you answer “no” to any of those questions, you’ll spring into action by finding alternatives for the driver, and informing them of what’s possible. The driver will then decide the course of action, and you’ll let the vendor know what the plan is.

Drivers will be back on the road quicker, spending less money, feeling less stress because of you.

There’s also some administrative work, as you enter the quotes and invoices into our system, making sure the details match as they’re supposed to.

Working with us:

Regular hours will be from 12:00am to 8:30pm, Monday to Friday, and you’ll never work weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Transportation or automotive industry experience as a technician, or service desk position
  • Experience in a customer service or customer facing role (phone experience an asset)
  • Experience using computers for emailing and entering data
  • Any technical or mechanical license (an asset)
