Original United Kingdom / English Indenture Certificate, Dated, 1712, 29.4” x 20 1/4”, with wear including toning.
Hand written in black ink script, it reads in part, “ This Indenture made the fifteen day of April in the Eleventh Year of the Reign of our most gracious Soverign & Lady Anne by the grace of God of Great Britain.. and Ireland Queen Defender of the faith at Annoo, the 1712, BETWEEN William Brock of Basford in the County of Nottingham Geo Henry Brock and George Brock of Basford aforesaid.. Brothers of thosaid William Brock of the one Great Britain..thosaid William Brock..and truly paid by tho said George Moore as allo of th eSum of five shillings of the lawfull money l thosaid Henry and George Brock inhand thowise paid by the said George Moore at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these projects the respecitve Receipts who of they thosaid William Brock Henry Brock and George Brock to hereby respectively acknowledge and thereof and from every part and parcell thereof Doo and every of them Dolli clearly and absolutely asquitt Release and Discharge the said George Moore his heirs Explore (?) and assignes and every of them for ever by those presents and for Divers other good Caufos and considerous them thereonto moving they thosaid William Brock Henry Brock and George Moore have (7th line)..
The William Brock mentioned here is attributed to be William Brock (July 24, 1683, Basford, Nottinghamshire, England – Jan. 13, 1730, Basford, Nottinghamshire, England). He was the son of Jeffrey Brock (1641-1707) & Mary (Muchall) Brock (1640-1728).
William Brock married Ann Broughton (1685-1745) on August 6, 1712, Saint Peter, Nottingham, Nottingham, England & had eight children, Mary Brock (1713-) John Brock (1716-1791), Brian Broughton Brock (1718-1750), Thomas Brock (1719-1783), Ann Broughton Brock (1722-1801), Ann Brock (1724-1745), Robert Brock (1724-1725), & Elizabeth Brock (1725-1726).
With the same birth & death dates, there is also a William Brock, who was the son of Captain William Brock (1654-1714) & Elizabeth (Offutt) Brock (1655-1746). This William Brock son had a brother, Henry, also mentioned here, who was born in 1688.
There is a citation on Ancestry website of a George Moore who married Isabell Dod on August 17, 1669 in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.
