1950's or early 1960's.
Most of it is original. ( pump is not, pedals are not )
Eaton's ( the department store ) would have Raleigh bicycles made for them and brand them as--in this case--Glider.
This one is a Raleigh Superbe which was a pretty fancy City, Comfort type bike.
But it seems to be decked out still a bit fancier then the actual Superbes.
It actually says Superbe on the Seat tube.
Front light still works, You can turn it on and off. Dynamo lighting.
Rear does not but if you are electrically incline I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to figure out.
3 speed Sturmey Archer hub in the back which is still fully operational.
Mechanically the bike is in tip top shape.
Cosmetically also in great shape. There are scratches that are from tiny to small all over the bike but
that'd be hard to avoid with almost 60 years of usage. No rust what so ever.
Rims/Tires in great shape.
Saddle also in great shape and is pretty damn comfortable.
I'm 6ft tall ( short legs long torso ) and the way it's pictured suits me.
So should perhaps suit someone about 5ft 10 to 6ft 2 ??
This is a take your time and look good kind of bike.
Total pleasure riding it and feels pretty damn solid.
$450 firm ( no haggling and not in a rush to sell )
