Rare Bicycling in Toronto by Estherelke & Bob Kaplan, Coloured Illustrations, 1st Edition (unstated), 59 pgs., softcover, Toronto Life, 56 The Esplanade, Toronto, 1972, 8 1/8” x 3.65”, in very good condition with .4” scrape on back cover, & front cover bottom right corner crease.
Robert Philip “Bob” Kaplan, PC QC (1936-2012) was a politician, & lawyer. He was a Member of Parliament from Toronto (1968-1972, 1974-1992), & Solicitor General of Canada (1980-1984). His partner (wife) Estherelke Tanenbaum Kaplan (1940-2009), the co-author of the book, was an early activist on behalf of hospice support for the terminally ill, & 'respect for the Earth' including organic food.
