About the Program
This program is FREE and funded by the Ontario Government. This program is perfect for two types of students

1.
If you have graduated a PSW program and are looking to improve your English Skills, and need a Job Placement with a guaranteed job interview.

2.
If you are considering a career as a PSW but need a preparation course before taking a college program.

The Personal Support Worker Program focuses on the full range of home and health-related services required by individuals with physical disabilities, cognitive impairments, and chronic and acute illnesses.

You spend 16 weeks in class and 8 weeks gaining extensive practical experience by working with teams in long-term care institutions and in the community.

The skills and knowledge you receive will give you the flexibility to adapt to a variety of settings such as hospitals, homes, schools, community residential agencies, long-term or chronic-care facilities.

Program Details:
• This Personal Support Worker (PSW) program reflects the latest practices and policies in the field.
• The developmental stages across the lifespan, and the communication and interpersonal skills needed for effective client relationships.
• Skills in dealing with common medical conditions including facilitating rehabilitation exercises and assisting with medications.
•Guaranteed Placement and job interview with completion of the program.
