Reverse: Depicts a large Roman numeral "V" (5) surrounded by a wreath of leaves and 13 stars. The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" are around the edge. Composition: Made of 75% copper and 25% nickel. Weight: 5 grams. Diameter: 21.2 mm. Edge: Plain. Mintage: Approximately 16,026,000. This coin is notable for being the first year the word "CENTS" was added to the reverse to prevent confusion with the gold dollar.
