The 2005-P (1905-) Canadian 25-Cent Saskatchewan Centennial Quarter Coin is a remarkable piece issued by the Royal Canadian Mint. Designed by Saskatchewan wildlife artist Paulette Sapergia, it features the Western Meadowlark, whose unique and melodious song heralds the coming of spring to the prairies. This coin was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Saskatchewan. The reverse side showcases the elegant Western Meadowlark, surrounded by the face value and the province name “SASKATCHEWAN”. The coin is made of 94% steel, 3.8% copper, and 2.2% nickel plating and has a weight of 4.43 grams with a diameter of 23.88 mm and a thickness of 1.58 mm 2. Its mintage was 19,290,000.
