Project:Build a Canadian Peer-to-Peer Car Rental App (like Turo)
About the Project:
We are developing an innovative, Canadian-owned peer-to-peer car rental platform designed specifically for the Canadian market. Inspired by the success of Turo, CarGo Canada will allow users to list and rent vehicles across the country. The app will include features such as user verification, vehicle listing, real-time booking, in-app messaging, reviews, and secure payment processing.
What We’re Looking For:
A creative and reliable Mobile App Developer with experience in building full-stack applications for both iOS and Android, preferably using frameworks like React Native, Flutter, or Capacitor/Ionic.
Requirements:
* Proven experience developing and launching apps on both Android & iOS
* Experience with Firebase, Stripe or other payment APIs
* Strong understanding of frontend and backend architecture
* Ability to work with UI/UX designs
* Bonus: Experience with car rental, logistics, or e-commerce apps
* Able to integrate Canadian payment gateways and insurance APIs is a plus
Responsibilities:
* Develop a fully functional MVP
* Ensure app meets Canadian regulatory and privacy requirements
* Implement secure login, verification, and payment systems
* Deploy and support the app in App Store & Google Play
Compensation:
Competitive, based on experience. Open to equity + pay model for the right candidate.
