RUSSIAN ARTS AND
CULTURE NIGHT at Herbert H. Carnegie Centennial Centre

Artists, Performers and Volunteers Wanted!
The grand event will take place March 2020
and will give an opportunity to introduce hundreds of
people to Russian Arts and Culture. There will be live musical performances, screening, food, and more!
Background:
An important event in the life of the Russian speaking community,
The cultural and creative identity of the Russian speaking community is embodied
in its visual arts, history, and language. The cultural well-being is derived from
sharing its values, beliefs, identity, and self-expression with one another and the
community.
Our goal is to
showcase the contribution of the Russian speaking community into the life of the
City and Country.


We are specifically seeking artists, performers, speakers
and proposals that highlight Russian heritage, its history, and culture.

While some positions do require specific skills, we not require any previous volunteer experience – simply a passion for Culture and your enthusiasm!


Ambassadors warmly welcome and actively engage guests at the different Festival sites. This group of volunteers act as the public face by greeting guests, answering general questions and providing information about different activities.

Skills/Requirements

A desire to volunteer, previous volunteer experience is not required!
Expectations

Basic knowledge about the venue/area you are stationed
Ability to interact comfortably with the public.

Festival Administrative Volunteers help with “behind the scenes” They use their excellent administrative and communication skills to assist the Volunteer Department with general office work such as scheduling, on-shift updates, and data entry.

Skills/Requirements

Love admin work!
Tech-savvy
Detail orientated
Hyper-organized
Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite


Be able to independently work on computer or administrative tasks
Provide friendly and helpful support at the Volunteer Hub
