$1000 REDUCED FROM $1400 USD
Produced in 1946 in Stratford, Ontario. This petite set was a garage find and has been completely restored. (See picture #2 for a "before" shot). Structually, it's in nearly perfect shape, with only one significant damage spot on the inside back of one chair that had be be filled. The table measures 48" x 32" and the chairs are 33" high at the back, 18" high at the seat, 16" wide and 20" deep. The set would work great in an apartment or townhome. The bentwood red maple table and four chairs were designed by Waclaw Czerwinski and Hilary Stykolt.
Items are located in Hickory, North Carolina and we will deliver within 100 miles for a nominal fee. Shipping provided for an extra charge. This set has been appraised at $3000--an identical set sold for $5000 on firstdibs within the last year.
During World War II, Canadian Wooden Aircraft produced components for the Mosquito bomber for the British RAF. After the war, the plant was converted to making other wooden products, including this Aeroclub Furniture dining set. Own a piece of mid-century history!
