Description: For Sale a used prototype hand built Electric Solid Body Guitar by “Vansal” Guitars. As a Luthier of 30 some odd years I have built numerous electric guitars under the “Vansal” label and sold them across North America and Hawaii. As I have ceased building instruments, this earlier prototype is being liquidated from my collection and comes with the following specifications: It should be noted that several newer additions have been made to this guitar over the years such as a roasted Maple neck, pickups and hardware etc. and for this reason I am liquidating it a much lower price point than my usual hand built offerings
1. This Guitar is patterned after the venerable Stratocaster and is made from Canadian Northern Poplar which is a lighter wood than Ash but has excellent tonal qualities. Body is finished in a Gloss 3-Tone Sunburst Lacquer
2. The Neck is of straight grained roasted Canadian Maple and finished in a low sheen Satin
3. Pickups are “Wilkinson Alnico 5, MVSM Single Coil, MVCB Humbucker” in a White Pearl Pickguard with HSS configuration and include a 5-Way Slide Switch, Extra 2-way mini toggle switch for a total of 7 tone variations. 2-Tone, 1-Volume Controls
4. Tuning Keys are of medium quality and in a gold finish
5. Tremolo Bridge is “Wilkinson WOVO8” Professional Model and is set to operate one way only
6. Guitar Nut is Bone
7. Gold finish neck plate
8. The Guitar is equipped with “DAddario Nickel Wound EXL” 10/46 gauge strings
9. Total weight of guitar 7.2 lbs

Very Important Note : Please be aware this guitar being a prototype and used for experimental purposes with various pickups, tuners, tremolos, body and neck configurations and Installations etc. etc. will exhibit flaws and idiosyncrasies inherent in a used hand built instrument as opposed to a Factory CNC produced model, this Instrument however has excellent playability.
