We are going to lose our excellent lead singer/guitar due to unfortunate and non musical circumstances.
So, we need a new one.
The strong candidate would be:
Accomplished at singing. A team player. Possess a strong knowledge of the material of the period we cover. (though we are not strictly oldies, we cover some modern tunes that feel the same) Available for weekly rehearsals and (mainly) weekend gigs, some paid, some out of town(Quebec). It would be peachy if you play an instrument.
We are players in our late fifties/early sixties ie: bass drums and lead guitar, funky and groove oriented. We are easy going and musically focused. We have a lot of fun.
Music played: Joe South, Elvis, Jimmy Buffet, John Mellencamp, Travelling Wilburys, The Who, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Tom Petty, Van Morrison, Tom T. Hall, The SteelDrivers, Chris Stapleton, Johnny Rivers, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Nik Lowe, Eddie Cochrane, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, The Band, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Lou Rawls, John D. Loudermilk, The Mavericks, Marvin Gaye, The Clash, Eddie Floyd, Neil Diamond, John Hiatt, Old Crow Medicine Show, Fred Eaglesmith, Nat King Cole, The Clovers, Sam Cooke.Original Tunes and more. We expect that you will bring other tunes to the show.
Please reply with your musical history and samples of your work. Help us to understand you. That will begin the dialogue. One line emails are not helpful.
