For 2 years Splendid Industries has been reaching out to experimental bands and musicians around town, putting on shows and working on initiatives, promoting artist's work, helping musicians find new outlets for their creativity, and connecting artists with like-minded collaborators. As an artist-run non-profit organization, we sponsor things like The Peanut Gallery (a collective of 30+ local acts/artists) and Complaints Dept. (an open online community for fans & artists alike which serves as a social media platform focused on music, art, and weird stuff in general). You can check all that stuff out here:
What's more, the artists behind $™ are always looking to collab on many projects with artists and musicians around the city and beyond. Some particulars would be multimedia events, music videos, short films, a literal cartoon show, in addition to working together on new music, composed, or improvised, or both. We've established a pretty strong network at this point, and we're always happy to bring new contributors into the fold (it's just sorta what we do).
So, human_friend, plz let us know if there's something here that sparks your interest, and plz do join us @splendidindustries.com where the underground TO music scene has never been more at your fingertips!
