The Audiovox / Advent Bluetooth module #BTHFMOD provides hands free cell phone operation. The module is connected to the stereo head unit so a caller can be heard thru the stereo speakers. The user communicates thru a remote stick-on wired microphone (location determined by the user). Calls are initiated or terminated via the Madza control switch #MAZBTSW2 which is installed in one of the blank switch covers beside the air bag control switch. After initial phone pairing, your phone will automatically connect to the Bluetooth module when the ignition is turned on.
The module and switch work fine, with no issues. I installed a new Kenwood head unit in my 2009 Miata NC2 so this hands free module and switch were no longer needed.
This Audiovox/Advent BT hands free kit includes everything you require;
- Bluetooth module #BTHFMOD.
- Mazda specific control switch #MAZBTSW2 with 48” long cable.
- Microphone with stick-on magnetic base with 94” long cable.
- Colour coded Main wiring harness with labels for easy installation, 62” long.
