RELATIONSHIP TO UNIT: Current tenant looking for new roommate
PRICE: $999 inclusive of gas, water, & heat; hydro, internet, & tenant insurance are extra. In peak winter months, Hydro is approx. $30 per person; in peak summer months, approx. $50 per person. Internet is $40 each. Laundry is available in the basement for $4.75 per load ($2 wash, $2.75 dry)
LOCATION: Dovercourt & Hallam in Bloorcourt/Dovercourt Park area. The 161 bus runs up and down Dovercourt every 15-20 min, the 63 bus at Ossington/Hallam is an 6-8 min walk, and Ossington Station is an 8-10 min walk. Lots of new restaurants and cafes opening in the area.
UNIT: This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment with a large kitchen, smaller living room, and bathroom with a tub/shower combo in between. There is a balcony off my bedroom; access can be discussed since entry is not via the common area. Entry to the unit is via the kitchen (which makes more sense in the photos). The bedroom will come unfurnished. Common areas are furnished but I am happy to make space for your furniture as well.
NOTE: Only the bedroom that is available is included in the photos.
ACCESS NEEDS: This a walk-up unit with 6 stairs to the front porch and another 16 stairs to the 2nd floor unit. Laundry access is in the basement via outdoor entry and down 8 stairs. I do own a senior cat, Colonel Mustard, so this space would not be appropriate for someone with severe allergies. There is a large dog living in the 1st floor unit, as well.
LEASE TERMS: This is a month-to-month lease reassignment for half the lease, as such I am looking for someone to fill the room long term. I am staying in the apartment, my current on lease roommate will be reassigning her portion of the lease. While I am conducting the search, the landlords will still need final approval to reassign the lease.

RENT CONTROL STATUS - Rent increases for this unit are capped at the annual provincial guideline because this unit was lived in before November 15, 2018.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I (she/her) am a mid/late 30s Live Event Professional. My current position is hybrid with irregular hours that can extend through the weekends and holidays. I will be working out of my room when WFH but because bedrooms are on opposite side of the apartment, there should be no major disruptions if you also WFH. I am introverted and prefer a quiet space, but also looking for a roommate that is happy to catch up, maybe play a game, have a hot beverage, or simply cohabitate in a friendly manner. I do struggle with depression and anxiety, so looking for someone who would be comfortable in a space where that is felt openly. As previously mentioned, I have a very quiet but friendly senior cat, named Colonel Mustard. He has free reign of the space when doors are open, so must be ok with a cat doing all the cat things.
