1986 Toyota SlumberQueen looking for a new home! Pushing 40 years, but in great condition, with very low mileage. Just moved across the country in this beauty, so it’s fresh off the road of an ~11,000km journey, but sadly need the rent money.

It’s got a 22RE engine, known for incredible longevity and low maintenance, which Toyota put in a lot of trucks between 85 and 95, but took out of circulation for being too reliable. Runs nice and cool, has had frequent oil changes, and still easy to find parts. Easily has another 300,000-400,000km of life.

Completely rebuilt the roof when I got it a year ago, with pitched surface to shed water and last longer than the original flat top. 2x2/2x4 curved truss supports, with 3 1/2 sheets of standard plywood, so it’s tough as nails. Surfaced with Alpha TPO roofing material.

Cover for the front right turning signal is broken and taped, but lights all work.

The interior suffered water damage from before the roof-rebuild, so the side door is pretty makeshift. Not pretty, but did the job keeping the elements out, and can be fixed/replaced if desired. The interior wood stain is also faded, counter tops are a bit warped, and there’s some surface level damage to the floor. But all only aesthetic and easily fixed you want.

Fridge and water pump work great, but needs a replacement electrical control board to get hot water in the shower. Gas stove burners need lines and ignition to be checked, but should be an easy fix.

Newly replaced:
Rear breaks (<11,000km)
All 6 new tires (<11,000km)
All spark plugs and wires (<1500km)
Ignition coil (<11,000km)
Oxygen sensor (<11,000km)
Distributor cap and button (<11,000km)

I’ve done a lot of work on it, and hate to say goodbye, but looking for a loving new owner. In great overall condition for its age, and still has so much to give!
