Our client, a leader in cryptographic systems and data security, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be part of the Voltage SecureData Engineering Department supporting cryptographic library development and platform integration. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Richmond Hill, ON

What's the Job?

• Provide technical leadership for the cryptographic engine and related SDKs across multiple platforms.
• Design, implement, and review cryptographic functionalities in C and C++ to ensure security and performance.
• Lead feature development from requirements to deployment, including API design and platform qualification.
• Establish coding standards, testing strategies, and code review processes to maintain high-quality codebase.
• Collaborate with QA and customer support teams to resolve cryptographic and platform-specific issues effectively.

What's Needed?

• Expertise in C/C++ programming, writing portable and maintainable code across various platforms.
• Deep understanding of operating system concepts such as memory management, threading, and process isolation.
• Practical experience with cryptography, including symmetric/asymmetric ciphers, key management, and TLS/SSL protocols.
• Strong Java development skills, with experience in SDK layer ownership and cross-language integration.
• Proficiency in build engineering, including CMake, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
