Warming Toronto: Knitting Hats & Scarves for the Homeless (Toronto (Downtown))

54 Dundas Street East near Yonge & Dundas

(google map)

Spend an afternoon creating hats and scarves to be given to the homeless. This is the 5th year when we gather, have snacks, and creates hats and scarves. We are back at the Imperial Pub & Library and hope to add to the over 650 items this event has already donated to StreetKnits for distribution to shelters and organizations.

This year's goal is 250 items, to bring our overall donations to 900!

If you don't know how to knit -- we're happy to teach you, and have you add a few rows to the community scarf. We will have yarn and extra needles. If you want to bring a few completed items with you, it will help us reach our goal faster!

Hope to see those of you who've come before, and new faces too.

Please note that we take over the upper floor, which means that the event is not fully accessible. But we are happy to join you on the main floor.

So, start your needles, or hooks, or looms! See you on the 9th. If you can't make the day, but would like to donate, we can meet you before the event. Message for details.

Date: February 9th
Time: Noon til 7pm
Where: Imperial Pub & Library (Upstairs) 54 Dundas Street East (1 block east of Yonge)
Cost: None!
