QR Code Link to This Post
My name is Shirley and I am a researcher with the Cognitive Development Lab at the University of Waterloo. We do research on children’s cognitive abilities and are currently pursuing some of our research questions using online sessions.
This study examines how children communicate with others. In particular, we are interested in looking at how children interpret and use language wherein someone may say something that is different from what they believe (e.g., telling someone that their shirt looks good when in fact it does not).
- One 45 minute session through a Zoom meeting online.
- Children: hear stories with accompanying comics about characters interacting and answering questions.
- Parents: supervise their child while completing the activity and complete a short demographic survey.
- Gift: $5 gift card to Chapters
